About Us

We are a family-owned and operated Christian gift store born from our love of shopping, discovering unique treasures, supporting Christian artists and authors, and giving back. We believe the best finds are often tucked away in unexpected places, and we carefully select products that inspire, encourage, and strengthen faith.

We personally experience every product we offer. We have read every book, listened to every audio, and viewed every video to ensure each item supports our mission of helping others grow in faith through a personal relationship with our gracious Lord Jesus. We also give our tithes to Christian causes around the world. Thank you for visiting our online store! Our Story

Jack Starr

Jack, also known as Dr. Starr, brings over 30 years of experience in retail sales to Yes and Amen Boutique. As a family practice physician for 36 years and as a hospice medical director for 24 years, Jack understood the importance of keeping mind and body active in retirement. While still practicing medicine, he acquired a small trophy and awards store in order to prepare for his own retirement. He built that business (www.starrtrophy.com) and now shares his retail experience with Yes and Amen. On December 31, 2019, Jack retired as medical director for Loving Care Hospice in London, OH.

Wendy Starr

Wendy has always loved sales. The residents of the rural Pennsylvania community in which she was raised learned to expect her knocks at their doors selling cards and wrapping paper, magazines, small gifts and newspapers. Wendy loves to shop as well as to read, study and teach the Bible. On December 31, 2019, Wendy retired as Executive Director for Loving Care Hospice an Home Health. She remains a practicing attorney. Yes and Amen Boutique allows Wendy to share some of her favorite books and gives her the opportunity to find and share other gifts not found in large stores. Jack and Wendy were married in 1983 and have a blended family that includes 12 adult children and quite a large gaggle of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Michelle Harris

Michelle Harris joined our staff in 2017 and is our day to day manager. Her knowledge of our inventory allows her to help our customers find what they want. When customers phone the store, they most likely are talking with Michelle. Michelle is a student of the Word. Her quick laugh and smiles bring encouragement to our shoppers. She is a great listener. Michelle is wife to James who is an incredibly talented artist, and mother to daughter, Brittany and son Robbie and step mom to Zephaniah. Michelle says, “James and I love hiking and being in nature and I love gardening, reading and learning new things.”

FAQ

Can I Get a Gift Certificate?

Yes. You must send your written request by fax, e-mail or mail (see Contact Page) and must include a copy of your state issued tax exemption certification, contact name, business/organization name, phone number and email address. All requests are subject to approval which may take up to 2 weeks after documentation has been received.

Do You Ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO Military and US Territories Addresses?

Yes, we ship to post office boxes, but at this time, not to military addresses or US Territories.

How Long Will It Take To Receive My Order?

Orders are shipped from our warehouse in London, OH. We ship UPS ground or USPS (whichever will cost you less) and depending on the “Ship To” location, standard shipping orders usually arrive within 2-14 business days.

How Can I Cancel My Order?

Most orders ship on the same or next business day as the order was placed. If you need to change or cancel your order, email or phone us as soon as possible; be sure to include your order number in your email. We will make every effort to accommodate your request but, if the order has already shipped, we may not be able to cancel your order. (See Return Policy)

How Long Will It Take To Receive My Order?

Do You Charge Sales Tax?

We only charge sales tax in Ohio.

Do You Charge for Shipping & Handling?

We primarily use USPS (US Postal Service) and UPS (United Parcel Service). Standard shipping and handling is $10.00 per order up to $100. Orders between $100.01 and $149.99 will be charged $20.00 for shipping. Standard ground shipping to any location in the continental U.S. is free for orders over $150.00. These shipping rates apply to the continental United States only. If you live close to London, OH and you let us know you will pick-up your order, the shipping and handling charge which is automatically applied to on-line orders will be refunded when you come in for the order.

What Are Backorders?

A “backordered item” is a product that you have ordered but it is either so new it hasn’t been delivered to us yet or it is sold out and we are waiting for more. Backorders are automatically cancelled if items cannot be shipped within 90 days, or if the backordered item totals less than $20. You can cancel backorders at any time by sending an e-mail to customer service or by calling customer service at 740-908-3082.

Can I Get Tax Exemption Status?
